HISTORY:
It has been over a million years since the Great Cataclysm - the event in which the humans
destroyed their world and our own as we knew them for all time. Their world they called
"Earth", and on it they ruled supreme over all beings. Though physicaly quite weak, their
intelligence allowed them to create tools that by far surpass anything we have even now.
Striving to explore and expand their knowledge, the humans attempted to fold space - an act
which they believed would allow them to go great distances into the stars without moving as we
know it. When that great power was activated, however, it tore into the fabric of the parallel
universes, meshing the world of Earth and Usura as one - tearing assunder everything the reality
of the worlds we had known, creating a warped, twisted world.
When the great earthquakes, rains of fire, and floods had subsided after several weeks, the world
was all but bare of life. With death and destruction on such a massive scale it is a wonder that
anything survived at all. Those humans who did survive faced not only a new world of disease,
but the fury of a world they had ripped appart. When those of Usaria let them be, the humans
turned on themselves. In a matter of months, there were no humans left.. and only the Usarians
remained to pick up the tatters of the two worlds they had destroyed. And so began a new age.
Darshan or the "torn lands", as we now call our world, has only recently shown a rise in
civilzation.
In the remnants of those days now long since gone, reality has become a warped thing, with the
laws of the world and universe turning topsey turvy on themselves. There are places in which
magic will work, but not the human tools and creations and vica-versa less common are the
places where both work just fine. The creatures of the world have been twisted and mutated
throughout the years, and due to the vast inconsistencies in the continuity of the world, spiecies
which were once the same only thousands of years gone by, can be completely incompairable
today.
What little is known of our past has been passed down by the sages. Oracles can only see so far
into the past before the bends and loops begin to twist their minds and they become just as mad
as the world itself.
Player characters are mutants, they are freaks of nature and not normal in any aspect from their
own race. What knowledge of the world they have has been passed down from grandfather, to father,
to son, and so on. Word of mouth and writings is all that tells of history.
SETTINGS:
Player Openings:
There is two games in Darshan. One is a game that will host a turn when 6 out of the 7 players post
their actions. This game is currently full.
There is a second game opening, which is a faster game
and all players are required to post at least once a day. I will allow players to miss a day, if I am
told of this, but if this becomes a recurring problem, you will be dropped till you find more time.
This game is now full. If you can do this fine, if not you can prepare a character send me the
dice, and be put on standby....there is currently 3 players on standby for game 1....and no standbys yet
for game 2.

Notes: Anyone needing help, just ask. I am here for you.
This is an evil campaign. Do not join, if your hero's are paladins and good do'ers. If you
feel like you repent or puke as you see your drow freind count the coins he just took
from the preachers coin purse, which was cut out of the dead man's hands, since the drow
had no paitence for the preacher to drop the purse and just cut off the man's hands.
Players do not need to be evil all the time, its just a mind set. In an all evil society,
there will be times when folks are not always mean, cruel, hostile, but then there are times
when such things exist in excess. Though you can be of any alignment..But if your good your just gonna have a very tough time
with the other players.
This is a list of Gods a player can worship to protect him from harm, and at times to call upon him for help as well. Though there
are some gods that will kill you for even speaking their names.
Any that will be listed except no humans. Some humanoids and other creatures will have different stats and abilities due to mutations over the years.
Available races to date, stats will be coming soon. If there is a race that is not mentioned here, send me email. I will take a look at it and work
with you on this. Not all races will have some of their innate abilites, or they may have them setup to come into affect when they reach certain levels,
or maybe some them removed or altered slightly as this would unbalance the game. Like I said though, I am willing to listen to any argument you may
have about a race. These races are from several old AD&D books and some that are not official books. I will allow any creature that is listed on any
AD&D site on the net, as long as I get a look at it.
Plaers will need to create a character to play in this world. Follow the link to see a more in depth
instructions to make a character. Also listed on the link page is character sheets for you do download and use
to make up your characters. These will change as time goes on to reflect the games needs.
Using Second edtion rules, as I was able to find a net source that had the book all made out nicely, though these have been modified by me,
and are not set in stone. Also, you may use character classes, spells, and the such from either the First or Second edition rule books,
and the Unearthed Arcana Book as well. No rule is ever set in stone and I am willing to discuss this with any player who has a question.
Just do this out of the player forum. Send me email or icq message.
Using a modified spell system. A spell user will learn spells, once they are learned, they will forever stay in your head. But you must study your spell book 15 minutes for each spell level
attained. You will get a certain amount of spell points as per your level of your character. A level one spell would cost 1 spell points to cast the spell, a second level spell would required
the use of 2 spell points to be used. These spell points will be replenished depending on what you are doing at the moment. Once used up, you will not be able to cast any spells.
If there is something you need and don't see it on the equipment list, then ask me. While the prices listed will be the same in many
areas, it also depends on other factors as well.
This will be a work in progress, as you explore the world, so will the map become more visable.
Anyone who does not regulary post in the game, and lags behind after one week with no notice sent to me, will become an NPC (Non-player Character).......
so let me know if your gonna be out of town or unable to play. I will listen to anyone who has a character made into an NPC, as in the real world stuff happens sometimes that we cannot control.
Also, when posting replys, if you want to attack a person or an npc, even if it envolves one of the player characters, you must roll skill dice and other dice that are suited for the actions you
are taking. Don't post what the end result will be, just what your actions are. I will post results of your actions. Also, if there is any problem between players, please contact me and let me
know. Do not post in the message board. I would like to take care of any problem before it blows up. All players are responsible for your own actions. I will allow player characters to attack
another member of the group, but this is frowned upon though. If a character dies for whatever reason, you cannot come back and get revenge, as this new character has no knowledge of what
happened in the past.
ICQ is a handy program that lets players talk to each other when they are on the net, and send messages to each other when their freinds are not online.
I susggest that all players get this program, as this will help in communications and working out problems as well. My ICQ#: 6463630....
I just found out that ICQ99a, which is a beta version has a built in virus. I had to format my drive last night. Thank god I have a zip drive and back
ups of important files. Do not use ICQ99A unless you like formating your drives.
Netscape provides AOL Instant Messenger with thier web browser package or it can be downloaded as a seperate package. This will do the same
as ICQ, but I do not know if you can talk to more than one person at a time that you can do in ICQ. My name for Instant Messenger is in caps: NYCADEMON
The world of Darshan is played on another web site. This is only a mirror site, that can be updated quicker with more graphics to my liking.
Please use these links to play the game. If you do decide to play, you must join the site, and while doing so, check out the StarWars RPG games
going on there. There is also some more AD&D type games being hosted by a few DM's.
